About the podcast
Each week, comedians Jen O'Neill and Sally Brooks search the internet for the silliest listicles, top 5 lists, and more! The Ridiculist is candy for your brain.
Named by Paste Magazine as one of the top 8 comics to watch in Atlanta, Jen O’Neill Smith can be seen on stages all over the country. Jen has been featured on the television show Live From Zanies on the Circle Network, has been a repeat guest on the hit Adult Swim series, William Street Swap Shop, and was recently on Tastemade’s new travel show, “The Un-Adventurers”, available on Amazon. She has also been featured on Amazon’s Audible Comedy show, “Punchlines”.
Jen has had the pleasure of performing on many festivals including the Limestone Comedy Festival, Laughing Skull Festival, Accidental Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival, Laugh your Asheville Off, Memphis Comedy Festival, Bird City Comedy Festival, Devil Cup and Hell Yes Fest.
Jen is the former co-host of the hit podcast Dumb Love, a comedy podcast about the dumb things people will do for love, also co-hosted by fellow comedian, Sally Brooks.
Jen has produced many comedy shows including the Schlitz and Giggles Stand Up Comedy Showcase, Date Night, and the Red Clay Comedy Festival. When Jen is not performing, podcasting, or producing comedy, she likes to spend her free time begging her family for forgiveness and riding bikes in the park.
Sally Brooks is a nationally touring stand-up comedian, writer and podcaster whose personal stories of misadventure and fun-loving, smart-assed nature were honed in the back rooms of bars in Cincinnati, Ohio and now make her a favorite at the top clubs and colleges across the country. She is the former cohost of Dumb Love, a comedy podcast about the dumb things people will do for love. Her first album, "Brooks Was Here" was released by Blonde Medicine and debuted at the top of the Apple Comedy charts. Her second album, "Street Bird" came out in October 2022 with Helium Records. The album debuted at #1 on both Apple Music and Amazon. Showbiz Monkey called the album "a refreshing breath of fresh air," saying Sally is "fast, smart, and funny as all hell."
